Color, culture, symbolism, identity, feelings and dreams are what students will explore as they view and discuss a variety of Frida Kahlo's paintings and Pre-Columbian art. Students will learn about her life and how her experiences and heritage are reflected in her works. Student art projects include retablo paintings, Pre-Columbian designs, self-portraits, and/or creating journals, depending upon the age and grade. This program is ideal for Spanish foreign language students studying Mexican culture.
